UCLA's Bruin Business 100 program recognizes exceptional alumni entrepreneurs who inspire innovation and expand the Bruin network. "This year, Your Epic Consulting was honored for pioneering a transformative approach to college admissions that challenges the industry's "college-pleasing" epidemic.
In a crowded field of formulaic college consulting, I've built a business around empowering students to embrace their authentic selves rather than suppress their stories to fit what colleges supposedly "want to see." As a recent graduate who personally navigated admissions within the last decade, I combine my expertise in admissions with students' expertise in their own lives—creating a truly student-centered approach.
This philosophy has driven both meaningful impact and business growth. Through partnerships with organizations like Apex for Youth, Summit STEM Fellowship, NAAPIMHA and Helivox, I've made high-quality college coaching accessible to underserved communities while building toward my mission of transforming how students approach this pivotal journey.
At Your Epic Consulting, I don't just help students get into college—I empower them to showcase their individuality in ways that serve them far beyond the college admissions process."
We guide students to reveal the personal growth and character traits, such as resilience or curiosity, behind their experiences, creating meaningful narratives that speak to their future potential. This is what impresses admissions officers.
Through thoughtful questioning and reflection, we help students create narratives that capture the vulnerability and honesty that set them apart.
Uncovering each student’s unique strengths, values, and areas for growth, helping them gain a deep self-awareness that strengthens their story.
Connecting each student's past experiences with future goals, aligning their college choices with a path that supports long-term career aspirations.
What differentiates our personalized college admissions guidance from others
We help students discover, embrace, and express their true selves and values
We promote self-reflection and intentionality for lasting satisfaction and well-being
We actively challenge and are a soundboard to increase student potential

College admissions success to top colleges in the United States
As an Asian American high school student, I focused too much on achievements — just like my peers. I prioritized being a sociable leader instead of what I loved — interpersonal mentorship. My college application was generic because I didn't write it wholeheartedly — likely why I was rejected from my top-choice school. Living inauthentically took a toll on me until I founded Your Epic to help students like my past self build genuine, values-driven narratives that last beyond college.
